Independent/ Dependent Events

Today we learned about independent/dependent varibles. Indepenedent is where 2 or more events have no effect on each others outcome. Examples is pulling a red marble out of a bag then replacing. Dependent is were the first event has an outcome on all other outcomes. Example is pulling a red marble and then not replacing it back in the bag.

Probabilty

Today in class i got caught up on my vector project. I'm about half done now so i'm hoping to finsh by tomorrow night. Also i learned about sample space and Complementary events. Sample space is a complete representation of all probably outcomes in a probability expirment. Ex= a chart
Complementary events are the probabiity of event A plus Not the probabilitity of Event A. (Or everythign but event A)

Probability

For the last two days we have learned about probability. First we learned about pathway problems. Mr Max's taught us to take the two numbers from each corner of the sqaure to fill the corner in below it. After he gave us a excercise worksheet to do excercise 1 questions 1-4. Today he taught us the fundamental Counting Princepal. He showed us the bobbie bear way of the fundamental counting princepal. It will never leave my mind about the counting princepal again.

november 12

The excercises should be getting close to getting done here soon. Im on excercise 4 now. I ope to be finshed by the end of class tomorrow and start doing my vector project. I still have to talk to mr max and clarify a few things about the project but i might just come to tutoring sometime and ask him then when he is not so busy.

vectors project

Today, we had to finish our excercise question. We had to finish excercise 1, 2 and one question off of excercise 3. We also now have to do a vector prject which is due on november 26.

Vectors

Today we learned more about vectors. Mr max showed us adding vectors as well. He said no matter which way you put them together they will always get the same anwser. The anwser is the line that you put in between the starting point to the ending point. Excercise two was also assigned today top get done.

Vectors

Today we learned about vectors. Vectors are anything with magnitude "how much" and direction "which way". Measure directions there is three ways. deegrees direction of direction, Start direction deegress which way of direction, and measures 360 degreesnusing north as 0 deegrees

Driveway question

Today Mr Max showed us how to do the driveway question on excel. Its deadly. He showed up how to use the roundup forumla which rounds up the decimal to a certian decimal place. I also finshed the picnic table question. It confused me by the footage but i forgot you can't put two boards inline with each other while making the table so that change my cost. i missed yesterdays class so im trying to get caught up.

media literacy, driveway question and the banging on the roof

today we discussed media literacy. In my lifetime, the newpaper and tv ads have gone down by more than 10 %. Meanwhile the internet has more than doubled by far since 2005. Thats crazy! Kind of a shocker the way of life is now. Than there's them roofers. dropping the roofing materials than makes the loud bang. yeah distracting. trying to concentrate on Mr Max's teaching. While the banging went on he told us how to set up our driveway question on a spread sheet.

design and measurement

Today we began to work on design and measurement. We handed in our finace sheets from yesterday which i did terrible on by the way. The design and measurement is like what we did in grade ten. taking measurements of shapes and calculating for diffrent questions asked like how many 30*30 tiles would fit in a room 445 cm long by 350 wide? well we had to figure that out today. WOHH seems easy but could be harder than i thought it could be.

Finally

finally got my blogger account to begin working again. it wouldnlt let me log on cause i had an illegal account according to them so they wouldnlt let me log on. yesterday i was sick so i missed out on some marks. i hope mr maks doesnlt have a fake surprise test like on friday. made me pay attention pretty fast. well i have to talk to him to try and get my marks up for applying to university.

Test! ..Not. Well sure got my attention in a hurry

Well today, worried sick after mr max said test, my stomach turned inside out. After doing a question and him explain he only did it because we weren;t paying enough attention in class this week. Well i'm glad he did it. I learned alot today by just plain old paying attention. Learned how to use a net worth statement on excel and how to calculate more problems on my caclculator.

Finace Tricks

Today in math class we learned some finace tricks. We used how to find out the balance, and interest on a calculator. It was easier than i thought it would be. I need a new calculator cause my is outdated

october 7, Personal Finace

today we handed in our mental math sheets with our marks, i got 64% average. not bad, not great either tho. Than we began to work on personal finace. We took some notes on some terms and then he showed us how much it would cost us to buy a corvette at 33 000$$$$. I was shocked to see how much interest adds onto that. I think i should invest my money and make more.

october 1

Today we reviewed on sequences. Well the class did i was catching up since i missed class due to stitches. It doesnlt seem as hard as i thought it was earlier, maybe mr max is just that good of teacher? hmm.....

Today we reviewed for our test that is happening tomorrow. It seems easy but difficult at the same time. well i better start writing my study sheet for tomorrow so i have a little help on the side.

Today we did mental math and i got two out of five. than he checked our homework than became to teach us about directed networks. this stuff is pretty easy

Today we learned Indirect and direct matricies. It was terrible cause he made us do it the long way before he showed us the short cut. o well i guess i play games next time when he explaining.

Today we corrected the transition Matricies. He did question number two to show the people how to do it again. Once he was done he showed us the old provincail exams we should be preparing for in the future.

Transition Matricies

Today we leaned aboutTransition Matricies. It began as confusing but ended up being easier than i thought. It was something that i lernt that i easily caught onto.

Excercise 5 question 2

First of all I muliply the Number of factory A's by each of their productions. so 2 Factory A's times 30 kitchen units per factory equals 60 total kitchen units from all the factories. I than did the same with the bedroom units. as a total i got 80 units manfuafactured. Next was factory B. 8 factories times 10 kitchen units produce from each factory equals 80 total kitchen units, and 120 bedroom units made from all eight factories. The kitchen suites sell for $1500. The Bedroom sells for $2200. adding both factories kitchen units together and getting a total of 140. so 140x1500 eqauls 210000 and for the totalt of bedroom units made between both factories is 200. so 200x2200 eqauls $440000

Goals

My goals for the semister is to complete all my class with an average of 75 or higher. After graduating and getting the free money Mr. maksymchuk is pushing us to apply for i would like to go to University of Manitoba for a diaploma in agriculture. Once completed I would get a job with Cargill or Pionner grain companies until i've become an established farmer.
